10 Things I Am Grateful For

November 27, 2008

in Fun Links & Inspiration

Beginning today, I will be posting a weekly list of “10 Things I am Grateful For”, and I encourage you to add to it! It is so important to focus on the good things in our lives, not just on Thanksgiving, but every day.

Here are my 10 Gratitudes for the week:

1. Fuzzy socks on a cold day

2. Morning coffee

3. Phone calls to my family

4. Getting an actual card in the mail from someone I love

5. Watching a hawk fly over my backyard

6. Flannel sheets

7. The beautiful scarf my friend knitted for me for my birthday

8. Crisp autumn apples

9. Children’s Art

10. Free day at the RISD Museum in Providence

What are you grateful for right now?

It was so wonderful seeing your gratitude list. Today is Thanksgiving and I am reminded that I always feel soooo good when I help someone else. I am very thankful for the love of my family, especially my children and grandchildren. I am grateful for the cancer patients who let me do acupuncture on them. I am grateful for being able to grow old. I am grateful for this website and look forward to seeing more posts.

Thank you for this wonderful site! A lot of people think up an idea but then never pursue it… I’m so proud of you for stepping out in faith to pursue something that you are passionate about and that I know our family will be very blessed to be a part of. Keep up the good work! We love you and miss you. – Lee, Margaret, Jesse, Haley & Jack

Dear Laura,
I’m your moms cousin Jacqueline – she just told me about your new website. It’s terrific and I will forward it to my daughter and daughters in laws along with moms that I’m a part of a mom2mom group. I do have one request – can the print be a little larger and darker it was a little bit light like this is ha ha. Remember I’m old.
Wishing you the very best on your new endouver. God Bless
Jacqueline

I am grateful for friends who drive an hour to pick you up at the airport, cold days in Providence, people who help you put on your coat, funky stores that I love everything in (even the little boy lamps!), Little Compton, Wieners, serendipitous wine tasting, and friends who need scarves to be knitted for them!

Miss you!

I am so grateful for creative people like you. We have several friends with newer babies and I’m going to forwards your website to them. I know they’ll love it!

Dear Jackie,
Thank you so much for your interest in the site and for forwarding it to your mothers group! I am very flattered. If everything is looking a little small, you could try going to “View” on your internet browser’s toolbar and selecting “Zoom In”, see if that helps.
Thank you again,
Laura

Today, I am grateful for my relationship with God, my awesome family, for friends that remain true over the years, “facebook” which has allowed me to keep in touch with people that I never would have otherwise, a nice warm bed to sleep in, that I am well mentally and physically, for the amazing blog that my sister Laura created because it inspires me to be a more creative person, that it is Spring and I can enjoy so many beautiful things that God has created like the fresh flowers on our fruit trees and the flowers in our yard, the gift of being home with my children and I am very thankful for hot cup of coffee with coconut creamer in the morning… yum, yum! :0)
