The James family (you can meet them in this video) are on a Round-The-World (RTW) trip (read more about RTW travel here), can you guess where they are based on these photographs?

I’ll give you a hint: stories about this place are a vital part of the Anangu culture…

They are visiting Uluru, otherwise known as Ayers Rock, which is considered a sacred place by the Anangu aboriginals in Australia. Quite a journey, no? Coming from here in the States, the landscape in that part of Australia looks so surreal and magical.

Conor, pictured here with his Mom, Dani, said of the place:
When you look at the rock… It’s like it’s alive.
You can read the full posts on Uluru, written by Dad Craig here and here.
They have already moved on to a new land and are in the midst of getting adjusted. We will check in with the James family again next week, and if you can’t wait that long you can keep up with them on their blog, the wide wide world. If you are enjoying these posts, by all means leave a comment on their blog as well!
Until next time…
