Have you seen Small Magazine? It is available entirely online, for *free*, and it is a visual feast. As somewhat of a magazine-junkie myself (a habit I’m trying to cut down on both to simplify my life and save money), I was thrilled to be able to flip through every issue they have published online. In each issue, they feature artists who are creating child-friendly and child-inspired art, profiles of musicians who create non-cheesy children’s music, craft tutorials, and lots and lots of jaw-droppingly gorgeous photographs.

Small Magazine is helping to promote many artists, natural toy companies, and eco-friendly small businesses that you may not hear of otherwise, and I applaud them for that. Moving toward buying handmade won’t happen overnight for most of us. I know I still do plenty of shopping in “traditional” stores; but I am taking little steps in that direction. I’ll leave you with just one more peek, and then you must click on over and check it out for yourself…

Happy hunting!
