I’ll Meet You Halfway Round The World…

in Global Interests

Half a year ago, two adventurous families left their homes behind, and set out in opposite directions around the globe. One family left from Scotland, the other from California. They just met each other for the first time at their halfway point: Australia.

We have been following the James Family of The Wide Wide World (pictured here on the right) as they make their Round-The-World trip, and I was excited to hear that they have just met up with the Family Trippers! Pictured on the left, they are: Mom Anne, Dad Ian, son Rory (age 9), and daughter Roonagh (age 7). The two families had connected online, but had never met in person. Craig James said of the meeting, “I recognized them immediately, and instantly felt like I was spending the day with friends we hadn’t seen in a while.”

Before they parted ways, the two families began discussing the possibility of  organizing a gathering of families who have taken Round The World Trips and those who would like to in the future… and I say, that is a fantastic idea! I have no idea where in the world such a gathering would be held, but I would love to be there if it happens :)
