megan-of-me-and-weeThe adorable Megan of Me and Wee

Hey there! I am taking a wee time-out from posting to work on a few projects for Global Mama, and I will be back to daily posting on Tuesday… but I just saw this beautiful nursery tour on ohdeedoh, and couldn’t resist sharing! This tour comes from the lovely Megan of Me and Wee, who is expecting her first baby (Congratulations, Megan!), and wanted to create a “cheerful, happy, inviting, warm, and modern” space, free from cartoon characters and babyish themes. Instead she pulled everything together with color, using cheery yellow and pale Tiffany-box blue. And while this room looks like a million bucks, this is owing more to Megan’s creativity and ingenuity rather than a fat bank account. Let’s take a peek, shall we?

A main feature in the nursery is the white Ikea bookcase, which will easily grow with “Little P” (as Megan is calling her for the time being), and could even be shifted into another room as time goes on. The cute yellow chair is actually an old Salvation Army find, which Megan had a custom slipcover created for! And on the walls, a cluster of stretched fabric in embroidery hoops and a collection of handmade art from Etsy makes it very cozy and cheerful indeed.

You can also find Megan writing about her creative endeavors here, find out about her Graphic Design business, and be sure to check out her gorgeous letterpress paper goods in her Etsy Shopwhew! Megan is one busy lady!

Wow Laura!!! You are so sweet and kind!!! What a lovely write up you did here! I’m so thrilled you like the room and I’m touched by your words. I’m happy others are finding little ideas from the room that they would like to apply to their own room designs. It’s by far been the most fun design project I’ve done to date! But I’m biased of course. :)

Thanks for stopping in, Megan! I really love everything you’ve done in your nursery – I even made a note of the paint color for the future!
