Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. As I mentioned earlier, I have been a very busy little bee working on a secret project, which I would now like to share with you…
I have been gathering a lot of great stuff that I’ve been just bursting to write about, but that doesn’t really fit Global Mama, so I have made the jump and launched a second blog, called Lolalina. Lolalina is all about finding your Sweet Life ~ I will be talking about decor, personal style, travel, weddings & celebrations, creativity, small business, and things that bring us joy. If any of those topics sound interesting to you, I really hope that you will come visit me at Lolalina and say hello! It would mean a lot. And don’t worry, you will still find me blogging here at Global Mama each week as well

I am excited to share this recipe with you, as it has become one of our favorite easy dinners lately. I adapted this from a recipe featured in the last issue of Domino magazine, and it really couldn’t be simpler. Basically, you cook some pasta, gather up a few fresh ingredients, and toss everything in a bowl at the last moment.

A note on special ingredients: I prefer using ricotta salata, which is very mild – but if you can’t find it, feta or soft goat cheese will work as well. If you don’t have fresh peas, use frozen & just zap them in the microwave for a minute before you throw them in.
p.s. – The recipe is an image, so feel free to drag/copy it to your desktop for future reference
Enjoy!

Hello dear friends! I realize that I haven’t posted much lately, and I hope you don’t think I’ve abandoned you
I have been having a very busy few weeks with family visiting, as well as a new project that I have been working on (I’ll fill you in on that soon). I’ll be back in a few moments with a nice, fresh spring recipe…

Hello there! This is just a quick post to let you know I am guest blogging today over at The Homeschooler’s Guide to the Galaxy on various approaches to science and nature education. *Big* thanks to Alison for inviting me to post on her lovely site; you can read the article here. Come on over and tell us what you think!
Wonder what teens are up to these days? The Girl Project is putting teen girls behind the camera to document their own lives. Girls are encouraged to take photographs of anything they wish – and after taking a look at the photos on The Girl Project Blog and Flickr set, you may be surprised at the wide range of experiences, cultures, and perspectives that are represented. From sweet snapshots of family members, friends and pets, to drunken parties, moody self-portraits, and an at-home ear piercing (using an apple! OMG!), this is capturing a true cross-section of American life.

Later this year, a selection of the photographs will be published in a book, and become part of a traveling exhibition on female adolescence. Girls interested in participating can email the founder of the project to get a disposable camera in the mail. The girl whose work is chosen as the cover image for the book will receive $1,000!
